We all know how fairy tales begin—but what happens after “happily ever after”? A baker and his wife, a cursed witch, a girl in a red cloak, a boy and his cow, a princess with flowing hair, and a servant covered in ashes all venture into the mysterious woods, each pursuing a wish of their own. As their journeys collide, spells are broken, friendships are forged, and familiar stories take unexpected turns, revealing that life beyond the fairy-tale ending can be just as magical—and far more complicated. Enter the woods this September, but beware: not everything lurking there is what it seems.

Excellent show and interesting venue. Didn't know what I bought when I purchased stall 1. Ok but not great
Some outstanding voices and some just very good.

A great thought provoking spin

You need to like Sondheim'smusic
The staging, production and singing were exceptional. Kudos to the cast! But - and this is a personal thing... I found the slightly atonal and discordant music of Sondheim difficult. Also the story is too intertwined with too many fairy tales so you kind of lose the thread of who is who doing what.

Wonderful show - the whole cast were superb
Absolutely worth all the time and effort getting to London from the West Country to see this fabulous show. What a treat. Probably not for very small children.
I'm sure that older children would probably enjoy it, especially if they have been introduced to the more gruesome side of the fairly tales.

such a great show for people of all ages
I saw the original production of into the woods in 1988 with bernadette peters - at the time I was 19 and my head was full of dreams. Now, at 56 years old, I have faced loss and the challenges that come after "happily ever after." As such, the second act of this show resonated with me so deeply - this production was glorious - I really loved it.
Clever, thought provoking story line, great music beautifully sung. A shout out too for the sets and costumes.

Superb production and performance
This fabulous cast combined with the music of Sondheim would have made a great evening out, but combined with the superb lighting, sound, musicianship and the stunning set - it was a masterpiece and the best musical I have seen in a long time. Thank you.

Traditional producion proving the show works to this day in origianl format.
Brilliantly executed production with perfect fit performances, Sondheim fans will be delighted and people new to the show will be enchanted. The show garnered more laughs than I have experienced in the 10 or so previous productions of ITW that I have been lucky enough to see. The design quality for the woods was undoubtedly the best I have seen.
