Such talent!
Cynthia Erivo is just so talented. I didn’t know what to expect when I saw she was the only actor in this show but she is so versatile that the whole show flowed once I adjusted to how she did the multiple characters. Bravo!

Dracula
Cynthia Erivo’s reimagining of Bram Stoker’s Dracula is an absolute tour-de-force that breathes fresh blood into the classic gothic tale. In this gripping stage production directed by Kip Williams, Erivo commands the stage with ferocious intensity and magnetic allure as the immortal Count. Her performance is layered and unforgettable — equal parts seductive predator, tragic outsider, and ancient evil. The gender-swapped casting works brilliantly, allowing Erivo to explore new emotional territories within the character while maintaining every ounce of the story’s chilling power. The production is visually stunning, drenched in deep reds and ominous shadows. The minimalist yet highly effective set design, combined with masterful lighting and sound, transports the audience from the misty Carpathian Mountains to the heart of Victorian London. Every scene pulses with tension, eroticism, and dread. The supporting ensemble is excellent, particularly in conveying the growing hysteria and psychological unraveling caused by Dracula’s presence. This adaptation respects Stoker’s source material while fearlessly updating it for contemporary audiences. Erivo’s vocal range — moving seamlessly from velvety whispers to terrifying roars — combined with her physical command, makes this one of the most compelling theatrical performances in recent years. If you love atmospheric theater that blends horror, drama, and psychological depth, this Dracula is unmissable. A five-star production that deserves to become a modern classic. Highly recommended!
